Welcome! Let me introduce myself, Karyn Chabot, wedding officiant. Twenty years already! Twenty years ago, and 8-1/2 months pregnant, I was on my way to Ville-Marie in Témiscamingue to officiate at my first wedding. Beside the pool at the bride and groom’s residence, parents and friends gathered to witness this intimate marriage which would play such a decisive role in my career as a wedding officiant.
Since then, I have had the great honour of marrying over a hundred couples, thanks to the trust and respect that developed between them and myself.
I have had the privilege of welcoming into this world the children of those unions. In the ceremony “Welcome to life”, couples can present their child to family and friends, and choose their child’s godmother and godfather.
